Elder Law

Elder law deals with various issues that affect seniors. Our attorneys assist elderly clients and their families with estate planning and administration services, and we counsel them with regard to working through the legal and financial obstacles relating to the care of the elderly and preservation of their assets. We also help clients plan for future living arrangements, including long-term care, in-home care, and placement in assisted-living facilities.

• Commitment matters, including guardianships for financial matters
• Assisting clients and their families with the application process related to skilled nursing facilities, including a review of residency contracts and preparation of applications for financial aid through Medicaid and Medical Assistance, as may be required
